The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application system.

Applications are now open and will shut on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the following criteria:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house using a combined gross house income that doesn't exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined home earnings doesn't exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not post any proof of earnings.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens and permanent people from households with combined R350 nsfas status check 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to supply the proper Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected inside their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously read more and not to wait until the last day.
